Farewell Medford

Medford High School was a great place to grow up. It is such a small town, which makes it easy to know everybody. I made a lot of friends, and great memories at Medford High School. I'm sad to be saying goodbye next week. These past four years have been so great!

Things that I will miss next year are all the dances. Homecoming, Snow Week and Prom were so much fun! I won't ever be able to do those again at Medford. It makes me sad that I can't go to another high school dance again.

Another thing that I will miss is all my friends. That is going to be the hardest part. We are all going off to different places and doing different things. It is scary that everything is going to change and never going to be the same. I've gotten so used to going to school and seeing my friends everyday. After graduation we are all on our own. I will miss my best friend Sara. She is moving far away and I probably will only see her a few times a year. I'm just scared that I will lose a lot of high school friends after graduation.

One thing that I will like about graduation is not having such long school days. At college you have classes that last an hour, for twice a week. My schedule will be much nicer in college then it was in high school. College is going to be a great time. I will have a lot more freedom, and responsibility. I'm excited for college, I just wish that all my friends could come with me.

Farewell Medford!

Prom is such a great night! It is a time where everyone has fun and looks amazing. It is a chance for girls to look as pretty as they possibly can. They can wear the princess dress that they dreamed of wearing when they were a little girl.

Boys don't think that prom is as special as girls. They have to wear uncomfortable tuxedo's and pay for everything. To boys prom is just a fancy school dance. They think it is a waste of time and money. Their favorite part is the after prom party.

After prom is a fun time for everyone. There is games, prizes, and so much more! The best part of after prom was the Hypnotist. It was a cool experience to watch my friends get hypnotized. It was very funny! I can't wait for prom this year!! I'm overly excited for this weekend! It will be a great night!

Scary

College is something that I am constantly thinking about. Being a Senior in high school it is something that most of us are thinking about. It is something that I am scared about right now. I don't know what is going to happen. I heard so many horrible stories about college. People fail classes that they had to pay for, people have no money, weird roommates, people get fat. I'm constantly worrying about what will happen to me in college.

The thing that scares me the most is being alone. I'm afraid that I will have no friends or family there for me. If I need something my mom is going to be a two hour car ride away. It won't be as easy to talk to her, and I won't see her that often. I will be very homesick! I'm also afraid that I will have trouble making new friends. I hope that I will but you never know! I'm going to miss my high school friends like crazy!

Another thing that I'm scared of happening is doing bad in school. I'm not the top of the class, so I'm scared that I won't do very good in class. It will take a lot of time and studying for me too do well. I hope that I get nice teachers. I am so afraid of having a tough or scary teachers.

I already have a great roommate, so I'm not scared of having a roommate! It's nice to have that out of the way. I don't have to stress about getting put with a mean girl, or a psycho. My roommate is a fun girly-girl and she is a lot like me.

A day with Kim Jong-un

If I had to spend a day with Kim Jong-un I would go to New York City. I've always wanted to go there and I think that it would be interesting. He would have such a culture shock. There is so much to do and see in New York!

I would take him to a a Broadway play. I think that it would be super neat to see a play done by such talented people! We would also go see the Statue of Liberty. There are so many things to see in New York, but those are my top two.

He is pretty hated by a lot of people, but who knows maybe he will be a fun guy to hang out with. You can't judge a person without knowing them. I think that it would be interesting to hang out with him for a day.

News

News has changed so much with technology. Everything that happens gets out to everyone quickly. Social Networks like, Twitter, Facebook, and iPhone news applications keep everyone updated by the second. I'm very grateful that my generation has such a great advantage when it comes to knowing what is going on.

Before all of these technology advances people had to wait to get news by watching it on a TV channel. Others who didn't have televisions had to wait to get the newspaper. It was a long wait between getting new information. Which made knowing what was going on difficult. People didn't know what to expect for weather, or government changes.

Now people can get new information at the hit of a button. It makes knowing what's going on very easy. We can plan a week ahead for the weather. We know what the government is working on or talking about. We find out about tragic events right after they happen. The news has been greatly affected by technology!

Easter 2013

My Easter was a pretty good day. I woke up at 6:20am in order to make it too work by 7am. I work at Jennie-O Turkey Store on a bunch of different turkey farms. I made it too work on time and worked until my lunch break at 10am. I went home for lunch but I didn't have much time because I had to be back by 11am. I went back to work until 2pm.

Because it was Easter I got holiday pay. Which is double time! I was making 24 dollars an hour that day!! It was a big paycheck that week! It was a great Easter present to me. But that wasn't the only present I got. The Easter Bunny gave me some college dorm room decorations. I got 2 boxes of Christmas lights to light up my dorm room, and 2 boxes of close pins to hang pictures on the lights!

I made it home at 3pm and my family was all there. We ate a huge dinner with a lot of yummy food! It was really good! After we ate we sat around watching basketball. Then someone had the idea to go to Mystic Lake Casino! So my mom, my grandma, and me went to the casino. I was playing penny slots and sent $45 and was down to my last spin with .40 cents. I told my mom "After this I'm done". Then I won $66 on my last spin! I couldn't believe it! My grandma won about $100 and my mom lost $100. It was a super fun Easter!

My life at 38

What will my life be like in 20 years? If my plans work out perfectly I will be married with two kids, a boy and a girl. I will have a job as a county Social Worker. Medford is the place were I will be living at a huge house. I hope that my life works out the way that I plan it to!

In 20 years my parents will be in their 50's. My pets will all be deceased. Which makes me sad to think about because I love my cat Tinker Bell! My sister will be 35 and probably have kids of her own. My little brothers will be driving and probably have girlfriends! All of these things are freaky to think about.

I can't tell the future for sure, but this is the life that I can hopeful for. Maybe I won't even be alive in 20 years. Nobody knows for sure. It is sad to think that everything that I plan for could not happen. I could not graduate college, not have a job, or a family. I hope that is not what happens, but things don't always go they way that people plan.

I don't want my personality to change. But in 20 years the world will for sure change. There will be changes in technology. Things will get faster, better, stronger, and last longer. People will invent and build a lot of new things. The better technology will make things easier for everybody.

Worst Day Ever

Squidward.pngI would HATE to spend an entire day with Squidward off of Spongebob. That would be the worst day ever. He would be no fun to hang out with. He is a very grumpy man.

If we went on a date he would probably be the biggest jerk ever. He is very self-centered, and careless. The entire date he would talk about himself. He thinks that he is superior than everyone else. I would want to leave right away!

Squidward would be miserable the entire day. He wants peace and quite, and he hates people. Nothing would ever be good enough for him. He would be the worst date ever!

Best Movie Stars!

Channing Tatum PictureBest Actor

If I were to pick who the best actor is I'd say Channing Tatum. He has been in a lot of popular movies. He usually plays the boy that all the girls want. He has been in a couple of romance movies, such as; The Vow, Dear John, and Step-Up. In other movies he is the funny guy, such as; 21 Jump-Street, and Magic Mike.

A big reason that he is such a good actor is because of his looks, and body. He is extremely attractive too all girls. He also knows how to act. I enjoy all the movies that I have ever watched with him in them. He can be romantic, sad, scared, mad, and still look hot! I think that he is the best actor.

Channing Tatum got a full-ride scholarship for football, but turned it down. He wanted to go into modeling and acting. His first acting job was on a TV show called CSI Miami. After that he deceived to go full time.  Many people are happy that he stuck to acting. He met his wife when they played leads in the movie Step-Up. They are still currently married.

Channing Tatum followed his dreams of acting and modeling. He became famous, and met his dream girl. It is a good thing that he didn't go to college on the full ride scholarship. Most people that get offered a full ride scholarship don't turn it down. Channing Tatum is a great actor, and I'm happy that he stuck with acting and modeling.

Best Actress

My favorite actress is Rebel Wilson. She played "Fat Amy" in the movie pitch perfect. She was hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing at her in that movie. She did a great job of making me laugh. Her facial expressions and gestures were super funny.

I've watched the movie Pitch Perfect many times, and Fat Amy is the best part of the whole thing. She has an Australian accent, which adds to her humor. She is a short, fat, and funny women. She is only 5'2!

Her first acting job was a weight-loss speaker for Jenny Craig in Australia. After that she decided that she wanted to be a full time actress. Although she has had a lot of small parts, she has only been in a few popular movies. The two popular movies that she was in were Bridesmaids, and Pitch Perfect. In Bridesmaids she had a small roll. Pitch Perfect was pretty much her star movie.

In the movie Pitch Perfect her acting really shined. She did an amazing job, and had a great role to play. I'm very happy that she got the role of Fat Amy. I'm also happy that she came to America after becoming famous in Australia. She is a great actress!

Homecoming 2012

If I could go back in time and re-live or redo a moment in my life I could go back to homecoming week. This was one of the best weeks of my life. It was the beginning of the end of high school. It was the start of my Senior year. I wanted to make the most of it. That week I made a lot of memories and had a blast being on court.

It was a great feeling to be on homecoming court. My peers voted for me because they felt like I would be a good person to represent Medford. Being kind to people helped me get on court. I got to do many cool things for court. We went to the Cedar View Nursing home. We learned a lot from the old people. They gave a lot of advice to us. They loved seeing us in our dresses, because it reminded them of when they where young.

Some great advice that a very happy old man gave us was, "be happy, and laugh". This old man was over 80 and was smiling the entire time we were there. Another old couple gave us the advice to love with everything you got. They were married for 50 years. It was truly a live changing moment to have the whole day to visit with the Nursing home.

I would love to go back a re-live that homecoming week. I learned so many things, and had fun doing it. That week was the beginning of my senior year. I loved everything about that week. It was a great time!

April Fools!

There are a lot of American traditions that are stupid. But April Fools Day is very foolish. This day is pointless, and it makes people mad. Some pranks go way to far. This day is a day that allows people who are seeking revenge to achieve it.
On April Fools Day people can pull very mean tricks on others and get away with it. All they have to do is say "April Fools!" and everyone laughs. Some people give false news or information. For example: Many teenagers enjoy scaring the crap out of their mothers' by saying they are pregnant.
This day is a sad excuse for a tradition. People take it to far, and I find it annoying. I've had many April Fools jokes played on me, and it was never fun. I think that this American Tradition should go away.

CopyCat

Something that annoys me more than anything is people that copy others. They can't make up their own mind on anything. Those types of people bug the heck out of me! They can't function without following the footsteps of others. They only do what the cool kids do. It is like they are brain-washed and can't think for themselves! It is very annoying.

Some people make important life decisions based off of what others are doing. For example; some people decide which college to go to because someone else is going there. Other times it's simple things like what to wear, or how to style their hair. Some people do it more than others, but it is very annoying to me.

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS? I don't understand it! These people aren't leaders, they are followers. Most of them won't get very far in life. They won't get a promotion at work, because they can't do anything without following someone else.

When I have to deal with these types of people I just tell them that they need to follow their heart. When someone asks me what they should do, I want to say "it's not my problem", or "I don't care." Instead I'm nice and say "I don't know, that's up to you." I really wish people would make their own decisions!

The Noble Life

The most important thing in my life is my family, and friends. I love every single one of them. No matter how annoying my sister is, or how loud my brothers get I still care about them deeply. I’m so thankful for my parents. They have always given me everything I have ever needed in life. My grandparents are also a huge part of my life. They are always there for me when I need them. Without my family I wouldn’t be the person that I am today.

I’m a very bubbly person. I like to be happy, and have fun. I almost always have a smile on my face. My style is very girly-girl. I love the color pink. Even though I have blonde hair, I still love school. I really like math. At school I am involved in Choir and Musicals, Basketball, Volleyball, Track, and FFA. I like to stay busy.

I love shopping, but in order to shop, I need money. I have two jobs. One at Timberlodge Steakhouse and another at Jennie-O Turkey farms. They are both very different. The turkey store is a lot of hard work on the farm. At Timberlodge I am a host which is easier and cleaner. I love making money, but I won’t keep these jobs forever.

I am going to be a Social Worker someday. I want to help kids get adopted and put into safe homes. In order to get this job I’m attending Winona State University. I'm beyond excited to start this new chapter in my life. College is hopefully going to be a great experience!
