Farewell Medford

Medford High School was a great place to grow up. It is such a small town, which makes it easy to know everybody. I made a lot of friends, and great memories at Medford High School. I'm sad to be saying goodbye next week. These past four years have been so great!

Things that I will miss next year are all the dances. Homecoming, Snow Week and Prom were so much fun! I won't ever be able to do those again at Medford. It makes me sad that I can't go to another high school dance again.

Another thing that I will miss is all my friends. That is going to be the hardest part. We are all going off to different places and doing different things. It is scary that everything is going to change and never going to be the same. I've gotten so used to going to school and seeing my friends everyday. After graduation we are all on our own. I will miss my best friend Sara. She is moving far away and I probably will only see her a few times a year. I'm just scared that I will lose a lot of high school friends after graduation.

One thing that I will like about graduation is not having such long school days. At college you have classes that last an hour, for twice a week. My schedule will be much nicer in college then it was in high school. College is going to be a great time. I will have a lot more freedom, and responsibility. I'm excited for college, I just wish that all my friends could come with me.

Farewell Medford!

Prom is such a great night! It is a time where everyone has fun and looks amazing. It is a chance for girls to look as pretty as they possibly can. They can wear the princess dress that they dreamed of wearing when they were a little girl.

Boys don't think that prom is as special as girls. They have to wear uncomfortable tuxedo's and pay for everything. To boys prom is just a fancy school dance. They think it is a waste of time and money. Their favorite part is the after prom party.

After prom is a fun time for everyone. There is games, prizes, and so much more! The best part of after prom was the Hypnotist. It was a cool experience to watch my friends get hypnotized. It was very funny! I can't wait for prom this year!! I'm overly excited for this weekend! It will be a great night!

Scary

College is something that I am constantly thinking about. Being a Senior in high school it is something that most of us are thinking about. It is something that I am scared about right now. I don't know what is going to happen. I heard so many horrible stories about college. People fail classes that they had to pay for, people have no money, weird roommates, people get fat. I'm constantly worrying about what will happen to me in college.

The thing that scares me the most is being alone. I'm afraid that I will have no friends or family there for me. If I need something my mom is going to be a two hour car ride away. It won't be as easy to talk to her, and I won't see her that often. I will be very homesick! I'm also afraid that I will have trouble making new friends. I hope that I will but you never know! I'm going to miss my high school friends like crazy!

Another thing that I'm scared of happening is doing bad in school. I'm not the top of the class, so I'm scared that I won't do very good in class. It will take a lot of time and studying for me too do well. I hope that I get nice teachers. I am so afraid of having a tough or scary teachers.

I already have a great roommate, so I'm not scared of having a roommate! It's nice to have that out of the way. I don't have to stress about getting put with a mean girl, or a psycho. My roommate is a fun girly-girl and she is a lot like me.

A day with Kim Jong-un

If I had to spend a day with Kim Jong-un I would go to New York City. I've always wanted to go there and I think that it would be interesting. He would have such a culture shock. There is so much to do and see in New York!

I would take him to a a Broadway play. I think that it would be super neat to see a play done by such talented people! We would also go see the Statue of Liberty. There are so many things to see in New York, but those are my top two.

He is pretty hated by a lot of people, but who knows maybe he will be a fun guy to hang out with. You can't judge a person without knowing them. I think that it would be interesting to hang out with him for a day.

News

News has changed so much with technology. Everything that happens gets out to everyone quickly. Social Networks like, Twitter, Facebook, and iPhone news applications keep everyone updated by the second. I'm very grateful that my generation has such a great advantage when it comes to knowing what is going on.

Before all of these technology advances people had to wait to get news by watching it on a TV channel. Others who didn't have televisions had to wait to get the newspaper. It was a long wait between getting new information. Which made knowing what was going on difficult. People didn't know what to expect for weather, or government changes.

Now people can get new information at the hit of a button. It makes knowing what's going on very easy. We can plan a week ahead for the weather. We know what the government is working on or talking about. We find out about tragic events right after they happen. The news has been greatly affected by technology!

Easter 2013

My Easter was a pretty good day. I woke up at 6:20am in order to make it too work by 7am. I work at Jennie-O Turkey Store on a bunch of different turkey farms. I made it too work on time and worked until my lunch break at 10am. I went home for lunch but I didn't have much time because I had to be back by 11am. I went back to work until 2pm.

Because it was Easter I got holiday pay. Which is double time! I was making 24 dollars an hour that day!! It was a big paycheck that week! It was a great Easter present to me. But that wasn't the only present I got. The Easter Bunny gave me some college dorm room decorations. I got 2 boxes of Christmas lights to light up my dorm room, and 2 boxes of close pins to hang pictures on the lights!

I made it home at 3pm and my family was all there. We ate a huge dinner with a lot of yummy food! It was really good! After we ate we sat around watching basketball. Then someone had the idea to go to Mystic Lake Casino! So my mom, my grandma, and me went to the casino. I was playing penny slots and sent $45 and was down to my last spin with .40 cents. I told my mom "After this I'm done". Then I won $66 on my last spin! I couldn't believe it! My grandma won about $100 and my mom lost $100. It was a super fun Easter!

My life at 38

What will my life be like in 20 years? If my plans work out perfectly I will be married with two kids, a boy and a girl. I will have a job as a county Social Worker. Medford is the place were I will be living at a huge house. I hope that my life works out the way that I plan it to!

In 20 years my parents will be in their 50's. My pets will all be deceased. Which makes me sad to think about because I love my cat Tinker Bell! My sister will be 35 and probably have kids of her own. My little brothers will be driving and probably have girlfriends! All of these things are freaky to think about.

I can't tell the future for sure, but this is the life that I can hopeful for. Maybe I won't even be alive in 20 years. Nobody knows for sure. It is sad to think that everything that I plan for could not happen. I could not graduate college, not have a job, or a family. I hope that is not what happens, but things don't always go they way that people plan.

I don't want my personality to change. But in 20 years the world will for sure change. There will be changes in technology. Things will get faster, better, stronger, and last longer. People will invent and build a lot of new things. The better technology will make things easier for everybody.
